Curtis got to make the first shot!

Emily finally learned to ride her bike! (with training wheels) but she finally has a paved area to ride on and practice. :-) And she has that really cute pose with her arms on her chest (ha ha). I'm not sure where that comes from but I'm noticing a trend in her pictures on each post.

Cloth bags..

I thought these were interesting facts. I have been using cloth grocery bags for a little over a year now and one of them recently busted (errm, bag boys fill them too heavy) so I was ordering a few extras and came across these little tidbits:

How interesting. I love my cloth bags. I use them not only at the grocery store but to tote things around, for library books, at Wally World and the mall. They are very convenient and sturdy, well until baggers keep filling them too full.

Horne Creek Historical Farm

Emily and I visited Horne Creek Historical Farm in Pinnacle, NC this morning during Heritage Day. I love Horne Creek! It's been about a year since our last visit.

Tiffany visits

Tiffany visited today! Both Emily and Tiffany had fun playing dress-up, playing with toys and running around outdoors. We took them to eat at the Whistlestop Cafe in King and they had so much fun eating outdoors at the picnic tables.

Flowers!

Emily and I spent an afternoon putting a few flowers in the ground. She helped a little but mostly wanted to run around the yard. Curtis finished planting the rest later on (blush), when after several days, it seemed I was so busy that I'd probably never get around to finishing the job.


And a picture of our new front porch! It's not a big deal to anyone but us I'm sure. But if you got the chance to see our old porch you'd know why this is such a major blessing for us. :-)
