It seems Emily is always saying the smartest things and is very inquisitive by nature and always has her own ideas. I wanted to share this.

With the weather being so nice this weekend we decided to go to our favorite spot Salem Lake and ride bikes. For those who don't know, this is our usual ritual during the warmer months all year long, only we haven't been as a family at this point because of the pregnancy, but Neal and the kids have gone a few times already.

Soooo, yesterday Neal was loading all 4 bikes on and in the van when he realized they wouldn't all fit. The outside bike rack could only hold 2 bikes and with Emily's bike inside the van he couldn't fit Curtis's bike inside. We'd forgotten that Curtis's newer bike is bigger than my bike now and last year Emily wasn't riding yet so we didn't have her bike in the van so this is all new to us. So Neal came inside and alerted me of the news that the bikes won't fit because Curtis's bike is too big to fit inside with Emily's bike. Emily overheard Neal and said

"daddy, why don't you try to put mommy's bike inside the van with my bike?"

and sure enough Neal tried it and they fit that way perfectly.
Smart girl. ;-)
