Ellie's trip to the emergency room in August

These were taken in the emergency room.

Ellie cut her finger on the conveyer I use when printing the bulk mailings for work. I freaked out a little (well a LOT, I guess) because she was bleeding sooooo much. I didn't know what she had cut because there was blood on her face, her clothes, her hands, all over me....and so I wondered had she hit her head and cut it. I checked her out and noticed her finger was cut up and the skin was sticking up on the tip and I thought she had cut the tip of it off. So I rushed out the door with her bleeding all over and had Emily tend to her in the van on the way to the emergency room. Turned out that she had cut just the tip of her finger. It didn't go all the way down to the bone, thank goodness and she grew her fingernail back within the next month or so. Boy was it a scary ordeal! It's funny because I have never taken a child to the emergency for an injury. I usually handle it at home, even stuff that has turned out worse than this actually, so I felt silly about it after the fact.
