Emily and Tiffany had a combined birthday party on May 27th at Covington Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The theme was Dora The Explorer. The cake was a little lop-sided due to the heat but tasted really good. We had hot dogs on the grill for lunch.

Uwharrie National Forest
Today we went hiking at Uwharrie National Forest. We saw a rat snake on the trail. Emily picked up a little stick and named it "sticky" and ended up leaving sticky behind on the trail and was a bit upset by that. :-(

Emily School Birthday Party
Emily celebrated her birthday at preschool with her classmates in the cafeteria during snack time. She had a Shrek the 3rd theme that included cupcakes w/green icing, cheese doodles and juice. Curtis got out of class early that day to eat cupcakes at the party.

Emerald Isle Beach Trip May 9-13th
Curtis's 5th grade class took a field trip to Salter Path, NC. Neal, Emily and I stayed in a rental house at Emerald Isle and we all stayed at the beach until Sunday the 13th. We visited the Maritime Museum, the Aquarium, Beaufort, Shackleford banks, Morehead City. We went hiking on a couple of trails. Neal, Emily and I visited his uncle Doug while we were there and he treated us to dinner. Curtis had a great time with his class and with us the remainder of the weekend.
