1st tooth is gone!

Emily lost her first tooth today (finally)! We thought it was going to be the top one but the bottom one made it first. Curtis took a couple of pics. You can see a big gap in her top teeth where the front top is about to fall out next.

A few pics from Dad's 70th birthday party at his house.

Dad blowing out the un-lit candles (haha).

Hair cut

Emily got her hair cut at Great Clips a couple of days ago. Took her in to get it trimmed a leetle bit but she decided she wanted it shorter (for daddy) and the girl asked if she could put some "long" layers in it and this is what it ended up as. I was getting nervous because she kept chopping hair off and in the end I thought it looked great. And the best thing is no more tangles! She doesn't cry when I comb her hair in the mornings. Hopefully she'll keep this style for a while.

Jordan Lake and Hanging Rock

I made a peach pie this weekend that very good. I was surprised it turned out so well. I had a hard time peeling them without mushing them up. :-) I definitely enjoy making apple pies more but it was fun. Everyone enjoyed it so that was a good sign.

We visited Jordan Lake and Hanging Rock this weekend. On Saturday we drove to Raleigh to eat lunch at Hursey's Barbeque Restaurant. While there we went to Jordan Lake. Neal and the kids went swimming. I forgot to take my "whole" bathing suit (forgot my bottoms) but at least I was able to get some really good pictures.

On Sunday morning the boys drove their bikes all the way from our house to Redeemer Presbyterian Church on Miller Street in Winston Salem!! I was so proud of them. That's a long way. They started at 6:00am. Emily and I picked them up at the end of their bike ride and we went for breakfast at Golden Corral (so much for the bike ride I guess, lol). Later on we drove up to Hanging Rock and the boys went canoeing on the Dan River while Emily and I went over to the lake and played in the water. It was a bit cool in the water...brrr.
